Youth Programs we are involved in!
Boys’ State - The American Legion Department of New York
American Legion Boys’ State is a week-long program that immerses high school youth (currently completing their junior year) in citizenship and leadership training. They learn the practical aspects of government as it exists in New York State, and come to recognize that the individual is integral to the character and success of government. They also participate in physical fitness, team work and other activities under the guidance of American Legion counselors and U.S. Marines.
Boys’ State takes place at Morrisville State College usually the last week in June.
If you or a youth you know would like to apply, contact your local American Legion Post to inquire about sponsoring you to Boys State. Once a Post agrees to sponsor you, you will receive a notification to go ahead and submit the online application to this year’s Boys State program.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL GREECE POST
Post 468 loses a heartbreaker in the semifinals.
Greece Post 468 was not able to complete a rally in the 7-5 loss to the Clinton County Mariners in the American Legion New York State semifinal at Conlon Field in Binghamton, New York on Tuesday.
With the loss, two-time reigning Greece Post (22-2) saw its season come to an end. Greece was looking to become the second team in New York American Legion Baseball history to win three or more state titles in a row. Greece had won 21 straight games heading into Tuesday’s matchup.
Kudos to our team on a great season. While they didn't win the state championship again this year, they had a great season and did themselves and our post PROUD!
GREAT JOB!!
Next season, we'll kick their butts!

Congratulations to our Post 468 Legion Baseball team. They swept the semifinals and then continued the sweep over Irondequoit Post 134 to win the District 7 Championship for a third straight title. They now hold an impressive 20-1 record for the season. They will be traveling to Binghamton for the State Championship Series this coming weekend.
Commander Dan Perna led the opening ceremonies with the Pledge of Allegiance and our own Terry Wojick threw out the first pitch. Thank you both for representing us all at this great event.
